The unit was large.
The staff members were affable. The location for Merida was excellent and unbeatable, really close to the centre of the city and Merida and Yucatan. Plus, I could reach Paseo Montejo within a close distance from the hotel.

Staying at Casa Tavera was a good experience. The decor exuded elegance. My Beautiful Suite had a spacious layout and charming touches. The staff, especially Veronica, provided really good service. She was attentive, cute, and went out of her way to ensure my comfort. Breakfast was a standout, with delicious dishes like avocado on toast, topped off with a good fresh fruit salad and yogurt. I faced a little annoyance with the shower pressure. It wasn't as strong as I hoped. Despite that, the relaxing setting and wonderful amenities were nice. It's a perfect peaceful retreat after exploring the city.

Overall it was well decorated and huge with fridge. A private safe, climate control, and a mini-bar were a very nice touch.

Charming boutique with a character all its own.
The shower pressure was disappointing, and the noise from the hallway echoed throughout the night. There was a lack of attention to cleanliness. The jacuzzi in the presidential suite had stains and issues upon arrival which I had to deal with myself. The staff seemed undertrained, and I didn't feel very welcomed , frustrating.

Couples seeking a nice escape
So the service was just something else! It was like they really cared, you know? Veronica was super helpful, bringing us tea when we were under the weather, and those little touches. And the breakfast? Each morning was a surprise with delicious stuff like chilaquiles, a treat!
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but it was worth it.

Charming Stay with Attentive Service
The hotel is ideally located between Parque de Santa Lucia and Paseo Montejo, made exploring so easy. I stayed in the Kinich Suite, it was fine, with high ceilings and a spacious bathroom with a jetted tub. Breakfast was a highlight, with unique options like Pollo Mole and delicious Nutella cookies every day. My only wish was for a slice of fruit along with my morning meal.
